Hugh Ryan who , on more than one occasion helped me during the most difficult time in my life... He never judged me or treated me as most other people did...I was homeless, unemployed, and had been on the brink of suicide. Fr. Hugh Ryan was the man who took the time to genuinely listen to my story. I really do dread to think where I would have ended up if it was not for this extremely dedicated legionnaire. In my opinion now... 20 years later.. The legion has had a major blow to its reputation which came about by the actions of a very very small minority. Please DO NOT FORGET ALL THE GOOD THAT THESE AMAZING PEOPLE HAVE MADE. I owe Fr. Hugh Ryan a debt that I can never repay. MY LIFE.. And everything that I have achieved. I have now got a decent standard of living and four beautiful children. These are things that I never would have had without the time and effort that Fr. Hugh gave to me. ..Anthony Dublin Ireland. In my heart it really satisfies so many contradictory feelings about what is good and what is not so good about the Legion.

I often think of the great guys who joined the Legion with myself in 1965. All great and sincere men, like Fergus O'Carroll, Pat Barry, Vincent McMahon, Peter Coates, Hugh Ryan, James McKenna and many others I met during my years as a Legionary. I keep them all in my prayers because I know a "NEW" Legion has so much to offer.

Have we not benefitted greatly from our time there? I constantly revert to my training there in my work with alcohol and drug abusers

MM's infidelities will leave a pain within us to which we have to find an ongoing answer to our mission in life. In my own life such pain has always led to greater clarity, fulfillment and happiness.

Keep the faith - Ad LucemAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11969744220695997807noreply@blogger.com
